Subsidy for Installing Furniture Overturning Prevention Fixtures
(For the household of the aged and disabled)

Eligible people

Households, paid the city tax in full, of only for people under the age of 15, for people over the age of 65 or for people with disability certificate.

Subsidy amount

Two-thirds of the construction costs. (Up to 11,000 yen; if the amount includes a fraction of less than one thousand uen, it shall be discarded)

Please confirm

• A letter of consent of the house owner is required for those who live in rental housing because holes need to be made on walls.
• Metal fitting to be mounted by a registered business operator

Motor screw drivers and stud sensors are loaned out for free

Motor screw drivers and stud sensors can be lent for mounting metal fittings
Persons over 18 yrs who are not eligible for this subsidy can borrow and use motor screw drivers and stud sensors which finds suitable spots in the wall to install fixtures at free of charge.

Partial Subsidy for the Cost of Removal of Dangerous Concrete Block Walls

Subsidy is for removing including the foundation parts.
Costs of partial removal or reconstruction are NOT covered.
Application to the Kiki Kanri-ka (Crisis Control Section) is required before asking to the supplier.

Eligible concrete block walls

Those concrete block walls which abut on a road (or sidewalk) and meet one of the requirements below (excluding partial removal).

Requirements

• The height of wall is 2.3m or more from the ground.
• The thickness of wall is 9 cm or less (14 cm or less in case the wall is higher than 2 m. and 2.2 m or lower)
• No counterforts of the height of 1/5 or more are not built within wall's interval of 3.4 m or less.
• The wall does not have concrete foundation (penetration).
• The wall isleaning or has cracks.

Subsidy amount

Two-thirds of the cost for the removal of concrete block walls (Up to 400,000 yen; if the amount includes a fraction of less than one thousand uen, it shall be discarded)
