Soka City sent a 2023 FY's consultation notices of vaccinations to the eligible persons as below in the end of this March.
If an eligible person doesn't receive a notice, contact the Hoken Center (Public Health Care Section).
For the Children
The notifications of vaccinations of the 2nd term of Japanese encephalitis, the 2nd term of Measles-Rubella (MR) and Diphtheria-Tetanus vaccine were sent in late March to the eligible children shown below.

Pneumococcal Vaccination for the Elderly
We recommend to take an inoculation at the medical institutions designated by Soka City (list of the medical institution is enclosed in notice letters) by March 31, 2024.

(2)People of 60 to 64 years old and with a Grade 1 disability concerning the function of heart, kidney
or respiratory organs or immune function by the human immunodeficiency virus.

3,000 yen
* Free for 75 yrs. or older and the people on welfare
Others
- If you are (2) apply to Kenko-zukuri-ka (Public Health Section). (Those who applied in the last year are application-free)
- People who want to take inoculation at home doctors in Saitama prefecture, not listed on the notice letter, need to ask to Hoken Center in advance.
- Immunizations outside Saitama Prefecture are not covered by public expenses.
Rubella Antibody Test for Men
Free Coupons for Rubella Antibody Test and Regular Preventive Inoculation were sent.
Anti-rubella antibody tests will be conducted for the generation who did not have an opportunity to have regular preventive inoculation of rubella. If the test result shows that the man's antibody titer is low, he is eligible to have preventive inoculation at free of charge. Valid period of free coupon is extended by March 31, 2024.
