How to Dispose of Dangerous Articles

Dangerous articles, such as spray cans, gas cartridges, lighters and batteries, may cause explosion or fire at the disposing facility if not properly disposed, endangering the workers and hindering the collection work.

Dangerous articles are to be put in a transparent bag, by kind, and take them out in the morning of the collection day, between dawn and 8:00 a.m. We appreciate your cooperation.

Spray Cans and Lighters

Empty the cans before taking them to the waste collection site.
If you cannot empty the can, due to degradation or some other causes, make an inquiry at Kankyo Gyomu Center (Environmental Services Center).

Dry Batteries, Button Batteries, Batteries from Appliances with Built-in Batteries (such as Game Machines and Digital Cameras)

Be sure to take out the batteries.
Put the taken-out batteries and the appliances with built-in batteries into a transparent bag, indicating "Batteries Inside," with a piece of paper or fabric tape.

Small-sized Household Electric Appliances (including appliances with built-in batteries)

These can be posted into the collection box dedicated for small-sized household electric appliances below (to go through the posting port of 15 cm in height and 30 cm in width).
