Ms. TAKAHASHI Rie, Deputy Mayor

The mayor of Soka City nominated Ms. TAKAHASHI Rie as deputy mayor, approved by the City Council in the February regular session.
The term of office is from April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2027.

Ms. Takahashi graduated from the School of Foreign Studies, majoring in the Italian language, of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies in 1993, and completed master's degree in global studies in the postgraduate school of the same university in 2002.
She was employed by Saitama Prefecture in 1993, and served in various posts in the economy and finance department, in the enterprise bureau, in the industry and labor department, and as the deputy spokesman. Age 53.

Mr. KOTANI Akira Resigns on March 31

Mr. Kotani, deputy mayor, resigned on March 31.
He took office as deputy mayor in April 2019, and worked for the development of municipal administration for four years.
