Waste Collection Service to Be Suspended from December 31 (Sat) to January 3 (Tue)
The waste collection service will be suspended from December 31 (Sat) to January 3 (Tue).
The collection schedule of burnable waste during the year-end and New Year holiday season is shown in the calendar above.
- As to the collection days of non-burnable waste and recyclable waste, check on the waste collection calendar or on the waste collection app.
- Do not take out waste at night. Be sure to take it out between dawn and 8 o'clock in the morning.

Put Charging-type Devices in a Transparent Bag
Devices with built-in batteries, such as heat-not-burn tobacco products, handy electric fans and charging-type headphones, are very dangerous because they may cause fire if compressed.
A fire broke out in the Recycle Center in May 2021, possibly caused by lithium-ion batteries, giving a heavy impact on the collection and processing of wastes.
Dispose of devices with built-in batteries in either way below.
Two Ways of Disposal
(1)Put them in a transparent bag, attach a piece of paper telling "Batteries inside" before taking them out on a non-burnable waste collection day.
(2)Put them in the special collection box for small-sized household electric appliances placed in public facilities. (Within the size of 15 cm x 30 cm)
Make a request for bulky refuse collection on the Internet.
Requests for bulky refuse collection are crowded during the year-end and New Year period, and you may have to wait longer for the collection.
If possible, bring in the bulky refuse to Kankyo Gyomu Center (Environmental Services Center) (Soka-shi Aoyagi 6-23-3).
Application is necessary in either case.
