Tourist Information Center Opened At Soka Marui

Soka City Tourist Information Center was opened on the first floor of Soka Marui. The opening ceremony and the opening events were held on that day, and the lottery was so popular that the free tickets went out in a short period of time. The center will give information about events, receive reservation for street walking guide and send various information about sightseeing, industry, history and culture of the city.

Peace Day Lecture
"Toward a World without Nuclear Weapons"

The lecture was given in Chuo Toshokan (Soka City Library), and Mr. KAWASAKI Akira, International Steering Group member of the ICAN, explained the world trend around nuclear weapons. "The situation in which the world stability depends on the mutual threat of nuclear powers is the same as the use of nuclear weapons. The united efforts of all countries is essential to eliminate nuclear weapons in the world," he warned. Prior to the lecture, the written description of thoughts were read out loud by the four junior high school students who were sent to Hiroshima as peace ambassadors, giving a good opportunity to think about the value of peace.
