The site of Yatsuka Nishi Kominkan (Public Hall) was renovated as a community space, meeting the request of residents. The facility was opened for use early April. So as to support the resident-led community development, the city established the facility and the Nissato resident association takes responsibility of daily management and operation (cleaning and minor repairs). This type of community space is the first commitment in the city.

Mr. SUZUKI Shinji, president of the Nissato resident association, said, "I hope residents will keep discussing to maintain this facility so that this facility will be a new place of interaction and exchanges for residents."
