Why Don't You Get Check-up for Dementia ?

Consultation is recommended for the people for 60 and over 65 years old by December 18 (Fri.).

There is a possibility to cause dementia as a person gets older.
But if you find a disease in early stage and get available treatments, the medicine may delay the progress of dementia or provide some relief of symptoms.

* Symptoms: forgetfulness, confusion, getting lost in familiar places, misplacing things, problems with speaking and writing etc.

What is Ninchi-shou (dementia) ?
Dementia which occurs to anyone is a general term for the loss of memory and other intellectual abilities serious enough to interfere with daily life.
Alzheimer accounts for an estimated 60 to 80 percent of dementia cases.
Alzheimer's (AHLZ-high-merz) is a disease of the brain that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior.
Alzheimer's disease is not normal aging or a mental illness.

If you want get a chekup bring your Hoken-shou (health insurance card) and Okusuri-techo (Medicine Notebook) and visit the designated medical institution, fill in a questionnaire of brain health check and take a consultation.
Check-up fee is free but the fees for another consultation or inspection costs money.

Eligible people

A person who is a resident of Soka City and

  1. born between April, 2 1960 and April 1, 1961
  2. born before April 1, 1956

Medical examination method

Bring your Hoken-shou (health insurance certificate card) and Okusuri-techo (Medicine Notebook) and have a checkup at the designated medical institution.

Fee

Free of charge

* The fees for another consultation or inspection costs money.
