Great Opportunity to See the Torch Relay First-hand
Relay Route Announced
When will it he held?
On July 8, 2020, around 7:00 to 8:00 a.m.
The starting ceremony and other fun events are planned.
Where will it be held?
From Matsubara Ayasegawa Park to Soka Matsubara Walking trail (as shown on the map).
Who will run?
Ten runners, who were chosen in the recruitment of Saitama Prefecture, will run about 2 km, one section of 200 m for one runner, relaying the torch.
Can we watch the torch relay?
Of course! We will appreciate your cheers along the course.
The details, including the venue for spectators and the schedule,
will be announced as soon as finalized.
A letter of notification was sent to those who were chosen as torch bearers from the Olympic committee on December 25 or later.
If you were chosen as a torch bearer,
please contact Sports Shinko-ka (Sports Promotion Section).
