Nationwide Spring Fire Prevention Campaign

Nationwide Spring Fire Prevention Campaign will be conducted from March 1 (Wed.) to 7 (Tue.).
The number of fire breakouts in Soka City in 2022 was 47, with 0 killed and 5 wounded by fire.
Don't forget to install, inspect and maintain the residential smoke alarm devices to prevent fires.

Soka City develops this campaign concentrating on the following 10 points.

(1)Promoting fire prevention measures (installation and maintenance of residential smoke alarm device)
(2)Promoting incendiary fire prevention measures
(3)Taking fire prevention measures thoroughly for the objects to be subjected to fire-proofing
(4)Promoting to prevent occurrence of a fire caused by the products

4 Customs

• Don't smoke in bed
• Don't use stove/heater near flammable products
• Turn off the gas cooker when you leave there
• Clean the dust of the sockets and disconnect the plugs which are not used

6 Measures

• Use the apparatus (stove, cooker etc) with the safety device
• Inspect your smoke alarm divices regularly and change them in every 10 years.
• Install residential smoke alarm devices not to be left behind
• Use flame-retardant bedding, curtain and clothes
• Install fire extinguishers to put out a fire before it becomes big
• Build a cooperation system in neighborhood to protect the elderly and the people with disabilities
