Soka City Promotes Measures for Safety and Security
In Collaboration with Tobu Railway Co., Ltd.

Platform screen doors went into operation in Dokkyodaigakumae Station on December 18.
Those doors will be installed sequentially in Soka, Yatsuka and Shinden Stations by 2025.

Platform screen doors are facilities effective as safety measures, preventing passengers from falling into train tracks and from getting involved in fender-bender accidents.
Soka City will continue to collaborate with related organizations to realize public means of transportation that anyone can use safely.

Low-floor buses

Low-floors are promoted in fixed-route buses and Paripori-kun Buses.
The entrance of low-floor buses are equipped with a slope board, helping the getting on and off of wheel-chair users, senior citizens and perambulators.

Barrier-free measures are promoted in the Tobu SKYTREE Line, improving facilities such as elevators, toilets, facilities to give service status information and braille blocks with a guiding line.

Buses and taxis are disinfected and ventilated by opening windows and with ventilators.

It is a community bus of Soka City operated since 2016, aiming to dissolve inconvenience of transportation in some areas, hearing comments like, "There's no bus route near my house," and "There's a bus route, but the number of buses is not enough." Three routes from Soka Municipal Hospital - Hokuto (Northeast), Nansei (Southwest) and Shinden routes - are connecting residential areas and major spots in the city.
