"World Expanded by Picture Books and Picture-card Shows"

A lecture was held as one of the activities of the Autumn Library Fair in Chuo Toshokan (Soka City Library).
The lecturer was Mr. TANAKA Masami, director of Doshinsha Publishing Col, Ltd., who raised three children.
He talked about the historical background of picture books and picture-card shows as well as reading and studying environments, and concluded that children's duty is to play.
A participant commented, "I was looking forward to listening to a person from a publishing company of the picture books I read to my children. I listened to a story that many people are involved and a lot of time is spent until a picture book is completed. I have learned about how long-loved books are produced with great efforts."
