Hello, citizens of Soka.
I a.m. YAMAKAWA Yuriko, who is going to work as the mayor for the coming four years, given trust by citizens in the mayoral election of Soka City held in October.
I a.m. very happy to work for you.
My term of office is four years from October 29.
My first attendance at office was on October 31.
Under a clear autumn sky, I entered the City Hall building, welcomed by city employees and citizens.
Along with congratulatory words, I was given the words of expectations and thoughts about municipal administration, which reminded me of the heavy responsibilities.
My aim is an administration collecting your efforts, so as to realize "Soka, where everyone is happy." Many people are engaged in various activities with earnest thoughts in Soka.
Some thoughts may be related to living, and the thoughts of some others may belong to silent majority.
I want to link the thoughts of all those and work for the happiness of all the citizens of Soka.
I will face many issues, and it may be difficult to realize the ideas of each person as they are.
However, I will value dialogs as much as possible, and work to develop the community of Soka with the city employees, and in the equal partnership with citizens and with the members of the city council.
I will appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
