Check the application method or contents which may be changed.
(Quota is limited for the safe consultation.)

Health Care for Mother and Child

If you moved in Soka City recently, contact with Kenko-zukuri-ka (Public Health Section) with your Boshi Techo (Mother and Child Health Book)

Kon-nichiwa Akachan Houmon ("Hello Baby" Visit)

For whom: The babies who were born in September, 2022. (Excluding the families a midwife staff visited)
Date: Late in October ~ middle of November.
Contents: A staff will visit the households (without a contact in advance) and hand the questionnaires for the vaccinations and notices for health checkups.

Baby Foods Class

* Apply by phone or from the website of Soka City.

Contents: Lecture how to proceed baby foods, and trial eating of baby foods.

Contents: Consultation of parenting and nutrition by public nurse and dieticians.

Infant Health Checkup

Maternity Class for Parents

For whom: Women who are expecting the first baby between February 2023 and April and their husbands.
Limited to 10 pairs each

Contents: Bathing training, nutrition guidance fo expectant mother and explanation of giving birth process

Maternity Salon

* Apply by phone from November 1(Tue.).

For whom: Women who are expecting the first baby and their husbands.
Limited to 20 persons
Date and time: 1.00 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. of December 14(Wed.)
Contents: Lecture about dental care, Maternity recipe and Introduction of baby food 

Health Care for Adults

Either group screening or individual screening of colorectal cancer is available once during the designated period.

Eligible age is as of March 31, 2023.

A list of designated medical institutions is available at the Kenko-zukuri-ka (Public Health Section) and public facilities.
You can see them on the HP of Soka City.

Eligible Persons for free check-up:
(1)People of age 70 or older
(2)People, age 65 or older and under 74 who are enrolled in Koki-koureisha Iryou Hoken Seido(Post Elderly and Disabled Medical Insurance system).
(3)Tax-exempt households
(4)Households on welfare (Seikatsu hogo in Japanese)
(5)People who are applied the subsidy of Japanese War Orphans From China

* Individual stomach cancer screening with an endoscope for (1)(2)(3) is 2,000 yen; for (4)(5) is free of charge.

Individual Cancer Screening B

Place: Designated medical institutions

Application: Directly apply/visit to a medical institution.
What you bring: Kenko Hoken-sho (Health insurance certificate) or something to certify your address.
* Something to certify your condition is required for free medical checkup for eligible person.
