August 11: Zero Carbon City Lecture
In response to the joint declaration of a zero-carbon city, a lecture was held in Chuo Kominkan (Public Hall), inviting as a lecturer Ms. Matsumoto Mayumi, guest associate professor at Tokyo University.
Ms. Matsumoto talked about the impact of global warming and various efforts at home and abroad to realize a decarbonized society, and asked for cooperation of the audience, "The awareness of companies and citizens to save energy will be a great step toward a zero-carbon city. I will appreciate your cooperation."
August 20: Fire Fighting Party's Prize of Excellence
The five select members from the Soka Fire Fighting Parties participated in the fire truck division of the 33rd Fire Fighting Operation Contest, and won the award of excellence.
As far as the records remain, this is the first time in their history to win an award in that contest.
