Repeated Disasters Reminds Us of the Necessity of Habitual Preparations
Although you have emergency supplies and stocks, check them from time to time so that, in case of emergency, you may not run short of batteries, foods may not be past the best-before date or you may not find something missing.
Talk with your family and people around you about disaster.
(1) Installation of a "Seismic Breaker"
Majority of fires in time of earthquake are caused by electricity.
The effective measure is the installation of a seismic breaker, which, on detecting swing, cuts off electricity automatically.

Install a security lighting (emergency lighting) that works when the power is cut off.
(2) Stock Pile to Last for at Least 3 Days (7 Days if Possible)
(3) Protection of Window Glasses
It is advisable to change the glasses of windows and of cupboards to shatter-resistant glass or to paste shatterproof films on them.
(4) Evaluation of Seismic Capacity and Seismic Repair, Confirmation of Exterior Walls and Concrete Block Walls
The collapse of buildings and concrete block walls may lead to human damage.
Have your house and concrete block walls checked, and have them repaired, if necessary, to prevent damage.

(5) Measures to Prevent Furniture Overturning

(6) Fix the Displays
Fix the television sets and PC devices with sticky mats or with devices with strap.
