Enjoy Autumn Harvest and Experience in Showa Village

Visit Showa Village, Fukushima Prefecture, a sister city of Soka, and enjoy various experiences not available in Soka, having exchanges with villagers.
You can enjoy harvesting agricultural crops, strolling in Yanohara Marsh, visiting Kuimaru Elementary School (old school used as a base facility of exchange/tourism) etc.

September 17 (Sat) and 18 (Sun) Two days and one night

One-way

About four and a half hours by city bus

Eligible participants

Those who live, work or study in Soka City (Parent's accompaniment is required for senior high school students or younger)

Participation fee

Showa Onsen Shirakaba (Onsen is hot spring)

(Additional 2,000 yen for a single use)

Junior high school students or older

Minshuku Matsuya

(private home that runs inns providing room and board)

* Lodgers of Minshuku Matsuya can use hot spring facility at Showa Onsen Shirakaba-so

Application

Write the names, address (workplace or school, in case of those who work or study in Soka City), ages and telephone number contactable on weekdays of all the applicants on a reply-paid postcard and send it to:

Up to five people for one group. Duplicated application is invalid. In case of too many applications, lot drawing will be conducted. Results will be noticed on August 24 (Tue.) or later. Once decided, no change may be made on participants.
