Re-start the inoculation of HPV vaccine to prevent cervical cancer
For the girls at the age between 12 and 16
Catch up Vaccination for those who missed the inoculation
The HPV vaccine was temporarily withheld from June 2013 onwards, but in November 2021, experts evaluated that the HPV vaccine should be actively recommended.
It is appropriate to end the state of withholding general recommendations," and in principle, from April 2022, individual recommendations will be made like other routine vaccinations.
Girls at the age between 12 and 16 and are registered as Soka citizens
Until the person will be 16 years old on March 31, 2023 or before
* By March 31, 2025 (Mon) for the girls who were born between April 2, 2006 and April 1, 2007.
Catch up Inoculation of HPV vaccine for those who missed to receive
HPV vaccination is available for the girls who have not yet been vaccinated during temporary withheld period.
Girls who were born between April 2, 1997 and April 1, 2006; and registered as Soka
By March 31, 2025 (Mon)
Subsidy payment to those sho inoculated at their own expenses
If the girls who could not receive vaccinations at public expense and inoculated at their own expenses after passing the target age for routine immunization, they can apply full or partial reimbursement is available.
Eligible women: (meets all the following (1)(2)(3) conditions)
(1)A womon who was registered as a citizen as of April 1, 2022 and born between April 2, 1997 and April 1, 2005.
(2)A woman who has not completed 3 doses of routine immunizations.
(3)After passing the target age for rtoutine immunization a woman had received HPV vaccine (Cervarix (bivalent) or Gardasil (4-valent) at a medical institution in Japan at her own expenses. (Sylgard (9-valent) is not eligible.)
Send or bring an application form with the record you vaccinated and receipt to Hoken Center (Public Health Center) by July 31 (Mon), 2025.
