Haiku as a World Language

The summit will be held in Soka for the first time in about 30 years, gathering local governments related to "Oku-no Hosomichi (The Narrow Road to Oku)," a travel diary written by a Haiku poet MATSUO Basho. Various events related to "Oku-no Hosomichi (The Narrow Road to Oku)" and Haiku will be held in time with the summit.

Awarding Ceremony of the Oku-no Hosomichi Soka Matsubara International Haiku Convention

The prize-winners of the convention, for which Haiku were invited in 2021, will be awarded and comments will be made by the judges.

Tour to Solve the Mysteries Left by Basho

Feel like a traveler of "Oku-no Hosomichi" and visit some places in Soka City. First comers will be given a special present.

Relief Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Mr. Donald Keene

A monument will be erected in the garden of Zenso-an Hakutai-no Kakaku in late July. Cooperators are recruited until July 15 (Fri).
