Installment of Furniture Overturning Prevention Fixtures

Eligible people

Those of age under 15 and of age 65 or older, or the family made up of disability certificate holders who paid the city tax in full

Subsidy amount

Up to 9,000 yen. (Up to three pieces of furniture)

Please confirm

• A letter of consent of the house owner is required for those who live in rental housing because holes need to be made on walls.
• Metal fitting to be mounted by a registered business operator

Free of Charge
Motor screw drivers and stud sensors can be lent for mounting metal fittings

You can use motor screw drivers and stud sensors which finds suitable spots in the wall to install fixtures at free of charge.

Partial Subsidy for the Cost of Removal of Dangerous Concrete Block Walls

Subsidy is for removing including the foundation parts. Costs of partial removal or reconstruction are NOT covered.
Application to the Kiki Kanri-ka (Crisis Control Section) is required before asking to the supplier.

Eligible concrete block walls

Those concrete block walls which abut on a road (or sidewalk) and meet one of the requirements below (excluding partial removal).
Requirements

• The height of wall is 2.3m or more.
• The thickness of wall is 9 cm or under (14 cm or under in case the wall is higher than 2 m. and 2.2 m or lower)
• The counterforts of the height of 1/5 or more are not built within the interval of 3.4 m or less.
• The wall does not have concrete foundation (penetration).
• The wall is out of upright or has cracks.

Subsidy amount

Two-thirds of the cost for the removal of concrete block walls (Up to 400,000 yen, a fraction of less than one thousand yen omitted)
