For the person who are enrolled in Kouki Koureisha Iryou Seido (* Post Elderly and Disabled Medical Insurance)
* Post Elderly and Disabled Medical Insurance: This insurance system is only for those over 75 years (except person who receive Welfare Assistance Service) and the person with disabilities from 65 until 75 years.
"Madoguchi Futan Wariai (Self-burden ratio)" of Kouki Koureisha Iryou Seido (Post Elderly and Disabled Medical Insurance) will be changed.
Persons who have certain level of income has to pay 20% of medical expenses from October 1, 2022.
(Excluding the person whose income is comparable to current workforce: 30%).
Revision of co-payment is for the current workers to suppress burden expansion of medical fees by increasing the members of Kouki Koureisha Iryou Seido (Post Elderly and Disabled Medical Insurance) in the near future.
This revision is for the public universal insurance system.
We cannot answer whether you are eligible to 20% self-burde or not at now.
You can know in this summer after calculating 2022 FY health insurance tax according to your income in 2021.
