FAQ about Home Remedy of COVID-19

The flowchart (information as of March 1) about the case of possible infection can be viewed on the website of Soka City.

Q1: How do we receive the notification after tested positive ?

A: The method of first contact after tested positive differs, depending on the age.

• For those of age 49 or below … SMS (short mail) will be sent from the prefectural office.
• For those of age 50 or over … Tel.ephone calls will be made by Hokenjo (Public Health Center).

Q2: What is the guideline of terminating home remedy after tested positive ?

A: Those who have some symptoms: You can leave hospital or terminate remedy if you meet both of the two conditions below:

(1)Ten days passed after developing symptoms.
(2)72 hours passed after getting better.

Those who have NO symptoms: Seven days passed after sampling

* The notification will not be made by Saitama Prefecture nor by Hokenjo (Public Health Center) when home remedy is to be terminated.

Q3: How long should the isolation at home be in case of close contacts ?

A: Count the later of (A) or (B) as "0" and stay isolated at home for seven days.

(A)The day symptoms developed. (The sampling date in case of the "positive" person has no symptoms)
(B)The day when infection prevention measures were started in the residence followed by the development of symptoms of "positive" person

Q4: I need a certificate to verify that remedy is terminated for the application of insurance, etc.

A: Soka Hokenjo (Public Health Center) issues a certificate of lodging or home remedy to those who wish to have the certificate.

Application is received only by postal mail. The certificate is not issued at the counter on the day of application. [Only one certificate is issued and is not re-issued. For those who were hospitalized for remedy, make confirmation on the website of Soka Hokenjo (Public Health Center)].

Application

Obtain the application from the website of Soka Hokenjo (Public Health Center), and send it, enclosing the return envelope with a 84-yen postage stamp on and with the name and address written (including the name of the building) to 〒340-0035 Soka-shi Nishi-cho 425-2 Soka Hokenjo Kansensho Tanto, writing "Shukuhaku Jitaku Ryoyo Shomeisho Hakko Shinseisho Zaichu."
