Great Achievements of Athletes Related to Soka City
Tokyo 2020 Paralympics were held from August 24 (Tue).
Among the participants were Mr. TAKAHASHI Kazuki, a boccia player from Seimon, Soka City, representing Japan and the swimming team of the Republic of Columbia, whose host town was Soka City, and both achieved great results.

Mr. TAKAHASHI Kazuki, who participated in the boccia mixed pairs (Impairment Cerebral Palsy, BC3) won the first silver medal as a Japanese, losing a close match with Korea.

2 Gold Meals, 4 Silver Medals and 4 Bronze Medals
The swimming team of the Republic of Columbia won the total of ten medals, including Mr. Nelson Crispin winning a gold medal in Men's 200m individual medley (Physical Impairment, SM6), with a world record.
