Let's Send Message to the City of Carson

International Sister City

The City of Carson, California, U.S.A. and Soka City made an international sister city affiliation in 1979, and have deepened friendship, mutually sending youth delegations for home-stay experience, but the coronavirus crisis is hindering face-to-face friendship exchange.
In response to this situation, we are planning an exchange of video containing message between the City of Carson and Soka City.

Your photos and videos will be edited into one video to send to the City of Carson.

We plan to post the video on the YouTube Bunka Kanko-ka channel late October.
Participation is invited from those who were involved in friendship exchange of sister cities in past years and who are interested in international exchange with the City of Carson.

We are waiting for the following photos and videos.

Message video (15 ~ 60 seconds)

A video of a person/persons who speak out message in English (If you have difficulty with English, speak in Japanese.)
Write the message on the application form for subtitling.

Photos of people during the past friendship exchange projects

Write the date and place the photo was taken on.

Application

Fill in the application form distributed at Bunka Kanko-ka (Culture and Tourism Section) and some other places (also to be downloaded from the website of Soka City), and submit it with a photo or a video to Soka-shi Kokusai Koryu Kyokai Jimukyoku (Soka International Association Office) in Bunka Kanko-ka (Culture and Tourism Section) by August 31 (Tue).
Those of age under 20 need a written consent of a parent.
The application will also be received by e-mail.
We are sorry we cannot return the submitted photos and CD-Rs containing videos.
