Supply Shortage of Japanese Encephalitis Vaccine

Priority to Be Given to Those in the Stage 1 (1st and 2nd time)

Due to problems about manufacturing, the supply of vaccine for Japanese encephalitis (JEBIK V) is considerably reduced, and the shipping amount is adjusted at present.

The supply of vaccine is forecasted to resume in December 2021, but before the supply becomes stable, the priority is given to those who are to have the vaccination of the stage 1 (1st and 2nd time), who do not have immunity.

In this situation, you may have some difficulty in making a reservation for the vaccination of the additional stage 1 (3rd time) and the stage 2 (4th time).
If your child is approaching the upper limit of the age for regular vaccination (under 7 years and 6 months for the stage 1 and under 13 years for the stage 2), be sure to make a confirmation at a medical institution and have vaccination before the deadline of age.

The quality of the vaccine in circulation at present has no problem.

Eligible ages for the regular vaccination of Japanese encephalitis
