Take out Waste, Following the Rules

Update : 2023-4-28

Season of Year-end General House Cleaning
To Refresh Your Mind and Your House

We will appreciate your following the waste sorting rules.

The waste in Soka City is collected in three categories - burnable waste, non-burnable waste and recyclable waste.
The total amount of waste from households during the last fiscal year amounted to about 59,000 tons, and the cost of disposal in a year about 1,690 million yen.
Converted to the cost per citizen, the weight of waste was about 648 g, and the cost of disposal is about 6,730 yen.

If waste is discarded, without following the rules, the work of disposing waste takes extra work and cost, because the waste may have to be resorted and the mixed-in dangerous articles may cause fire.
Still worse, the waste collection work may be affected.

During the year-end and New Year season, the amount of waste tend to increase after general cleaning of the house.
We ask to you to sort and bring out the waste, following the rules.
