The subscription to a bicycle insurance will be compulsory from April 1, 2018 under the regulation of Saitama Prefecture.
In response to the situation that cases in which a high amount of damages by bicycle accidents is claimed are increasing in number, Soka City has developed an insurance system "Buy an Insurance `Rin Rin Soka' and Feel Assured," in collaboration with an insurance company, with liability coverage (up to 100 million yen), additionally covering hospitalization caused by traffic injury.
If you want to subscribe this fiscal year's insurance please pay the premium at a Japan Post Bank by October 19 (Monday) with an application form which is distributed at the public facilities.
You can buy an insurance `Rin Rin Soka' for next fiscal year (April, 2021 to March, 2022) from February, 2021.
