The symptoms of influenza and COVD-19 strongly resemble.
If the elderly people will be infected the diseases will apt to advance in severity and sometimes will be life-threatening.
Soka City expands the eligible people for free of charge and raise the subsidy fee and will send the notices to the subjected people in the end of September.
Please contact with a designated medical institution in advance and take an inoculation early.
Eligible people and Fee
* Free for the people ubove (1)(2) and receive Seikatu-hogo (welfare benfits) or the person who receive the subsidy of Japanese War Orphans from China.
Conditions for eligible people (1)
People between the ages of 60 and 64 on the day of inoculation and have disable handbook with the first-class condition with regard to functions of heart, kidney, breathing organ or human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)

* A list of the designated medical institutions is enclosed in the notice letter.
Cautions
- Apply to the Kenko-zukuri-ka (Public Health Section) if you are (1) in the above table and will take this inoculation for the first time. People, who took the inoculations in the previous fiscal year and before, don't need to apply.
- People who want to be inoculated outside Soka city and Yashio City but in Saitama prefecture, apply at Hoken Center in advance with a medical examination note after checking the name and address of the medical institution you want to go.
- If people above (1)to(4) take an inoculation outside Saitama prefecture they have to pay personally.
The effects of Influenza Prevention Injection
It takes about two weeks to get resistance after taking inoculation and its effect continues about for 5 months. Influenza spreads from early winter to early spring, so take an inoculation before it will outbreak.
Prevent inflluenza infection in daily life
Inoculation before its outbreak, cough and sneeze etiquette, washing hands and mouth, avoid crowded place, nutritious foods and enough rest and sleep and appropriate humidity are important to prevent infection.
