Message from the Mayor

Let me express my gratitude for your cooperation to stay home during the past long holiday.

So as to mitigate the impact on citizens’ lives, Soka City established Shingata Coronavirus Taisaku Honbu (Headquarters for Novel Coronavirus Disease Control) on February 20 to implement measures to prevent the spread of infection and to collaborate with Saitama Prefecture and related organizations.

As to the PCR test, the Soka and Yashio Area Test Center will be opened on May 12, thanks to the cooperation of Soka and Yashio Medical Association.
Early detection of infection followed by quarantine may contribute to the prevention of spread of infection.

We are sorry about the inconvenience caused by the extension of the declaration of a state of emergency, but we will appreciate your continued cooperation of action not to be infected and not to spread infection, so as to protect the health and lives of yourself and your family.

Mr. Masashi Asai, Mayor of Soka City
