Make Use of Scholarship Loan

Scholarship loan is available for those who have financial difficulties in entering further education in a senior high school, a junior college, a university or a vocational school.
The scholarship is free of interest in each case, and screening will be conducted before making the decision.

Requirements: Those who meet all the requirements below

(1)Those who have been living in Soka City for a year or longer.
(2)Those who have a recommendation letter issued by his/her school head master.
(3)Those who haven't received any other scholarship fund.
(4)Those who can provide one joing surtey who lives in Kanto area (Tokyo-to, Saitama-ken, Kanagawa-ken, Chiba-ken, Ibaraki-ken, Gunma-ken and Tochigi-ken), has paid residents' tax fully and can guarantee of debt.

Paying back

The repayment will start six months after the next month of the completion of loan period, and the repayment period is two times for national/public schools or three times for private schools longer than the loan period with the repayment amount equally divided for each month.

Private Consultation

Consultations about scholarship and loan for preparation fund of entering school are accepted at any time.
Private consultations for the person who cannot visit during the open hours of City Hall are scheduled as below.

(1)February19 (Wed.) from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. * Need a reservation by Feb. 18 (Tue.)
(2)March 1 (Sun.) from 9:00 a.m. to noon * Need a reservation by Feb. 28 (Fri.)

Place: at Soumu Kikaku-ka, Kyouiku Iin -kai (General affairs and planning Section in Board of Education) in the City Hall.

* Additional offer for the School Entrance Preparation Loan will be accepted at the same time.
(This interest-free loan system is for the parents/guardians with difficulty in financing their child's high school, junior college, college/university or professional school entrance and study.There's no interest. The loan is decided by an examination.)
