Para-sports Festa 2019
On December 1, Para-sports Festa 2019 was held in Kinen Tai-iku Kan (Commemorative Gymnasium) and some other places, with the aim of publicizing sports for people with disability for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics.
The event provided opportunities to try wheelchair basketball and boccia, events of the Paralympics, as well as flying disc, an event of the All-Japan Sports Competition for the Disabled.
The participants said, "It was a great experience to feel the powerfulness of para-athletes."

On December 2, in time with the reelection of every three years, letters of appointment were given to 266 people commissioned as social workers and child welfare volunteers, and letters of appreciation were given to 57 retirees.
Commissioned social workers and child welfare volunteers play a role of community advisors for senior citizens, people with disability and parents raising children, so that they can live with peace of mind.
Social workers and child welfare volunteers know well about the situation of the community and have eagerness to work for the community, playing a role of connecting the community with the administration and of promoting the welfare of the community.
