For the girls between 12 and 16 years old and their gurdians
It is thought that cervical cancer is caused by infection of HPV (Human Papillona Virus).
Many women are infected with HPV once in their lives but most of them has no damage because of the HPV disappear naturally
But some of the infected women get cancers.
HPV vaccines protect against 50 to 70% of HPV types 16 and 18, which cause the greatest risk of cervical cancer, but rarely cause serious side effect.
Although Soka City has been stopping recommending preventative vaccine according the policy of Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, this time we inform that eligible girls can take this vaccination at the public expense as routine vaccination.
But please understand the effectiviness and the risk by side effect of vaccination.
