Construction Work of Soka Kakinoki Foods Site to Be Started
The construction work of the Soka Kakinoki District Industrial Complex (a.k.a. Soka Kakinoki Foods Site), to accommodate factories related to food manufacturing, was started in 2018, as a joint project of Soka City and Saitama Prefecture Enterprise Bureau, and the preparation of the site is scheduled to be completed in January 2021.
The construction of factories will follow sequentially.
In addition, the East Saitama Road will be improved to clear traffic congestion and to enhance convenience.

Why Was Soka Selected ?
Good access
With a good location of about 20 km to the center of Tokyo, along the East Saitama Road and about 4 km from the Soka interchange of the Tokyo Outer Ring Road, the site is expected to create demands, including sales expansion, as a base in Eastern Japan.
Industrial Water Available
Saitama Prefecture has only two water purifying plants, which can supply industrial water, including the Kakinoki water purifying plant.
Facilities related to food manufacturing, which use a large amount of water purified in their own purifying facilities, will be attracted to low-cost industrial water.

To Meet Traffic Needs and to Enhance Convenience
Improvement of East Saitama Road
The traffic demands are expected to rise in the Kakinoki District after the construction of large-scale facilities, including the Kakinoki Foods Site. So as to relieve traffic congestion and to improve access, the Yashio-Matsubushi section (about 9.5 km) of the East Saitama Road is planned to be elevated as a motorway. The survey and designing are scheduled in the fiscal year 2020.
In addition, the construction of an access road connecting the East Saitama Road and the Prefectural Road Adachi-Koshigaya Line is under planning.
