Vol.2: Easy-to-cook Festive Red Rice

Ingredients (8 servings, easy-to-cook amount)
360 cc glutinous rice, 270 cc ordinary rice, 50 g cowpeas, 650 cc water used for boiling the cowpeas plus plain water and Gomashio (1 tablespoon roasted black sesame seeds plus 1/3 teaspoon salt)
Directions
- Wash the cowpeas, add four or five times as much water and heat with medium fire. Lower the flame after boiling, and continue boiling them for 15 to 20 minutes, skimming off the scum. Put the cowpeas on a sieve, separating from the boiling water.
- Mix the glutinous rice and the ordinary rice, and wash them. Put them on a sieve.
- Put the rice above in a rice cooker and put the 650 cc water used for boiling the cowpeas plus plain water. Put the cowpeas on the rice and cook them.
- Sprinkle Gomashio if you like.
Vol.3: Matsukaze-yaki with Soy Beans

Ingredients (2 servings)
70 g minced chicken meat, 30 g minced pork meat, 30 g boiled soybeans, 20 g long onion, 10 g onion, a little ginger, 1/3 egg, 2 teaspoons Miso (soy fermented bean paste), 1 teaspoon sugar, 2/3 teaspoon Mirin (a type of sake with low alcohol and high sugar content), 2/3 teaspoon Sake and 2 teaspoons roasted white sesame seeds
Directions
- Crush the soy beans with a fork or something like it. Mince the long onion and the onion, and grate the ginger.
