Health Care for Mother and Child

If you moved in Soka City recently, contact with Kenko-zukuri-ka (Public Health Section) with your Boshi Techo (Mother and Child Health Book)

Kon-nichiwa Akachan Houmon ("Hello Baby" Visit)

* NO visit in June.

For whom: The babies who were born in May, 2020. (Excluding the families a midwife staff visited)
Questionnaires for the vaccinations and notices for health checkups will be sent during late in June and middle of July.

Infant Health Checkup

Baby Foods Class

* Apply by phone by June 9 (Tue.) or from the website of Soka City

Contents: Lecture how to proceed baby foods, and trial eating of baby foods.

Health Care for Adults

Either group screening or individual screening of colorectal cancer is available once during the designated period.

Eligible age is as of March 31, 2021.

A list of designated medical institutions is available at the Kenko-zukuri-ka (Public Health Section) and public facilities.
You can see them on the HP of Soka City.

Eligible Persons for free check-up:

1. People of age 70 or older
2. People, age 65 or older and under 74 who are enrolled in Koki-koureisha Iryou Hoken Seido
   (Post Elderly and Disabled Medical Insurance system).
3. Tax-exempt households
4. Households on welfare (Seikatsu hogo in Japanese)
5. People who are applied the subsidy of Japanese War Orphans From China

* Individual stomach cancer screening with an endoscope for 1. 2. 3. is 2,000 yen; for 4. 5. is free of charge.

Application: By a postcard with your name, address, phone number, birthday and which screening you want to Kenko-zukuri-ka (Public Health Section) by September 20 (Sun.) (postmarked by Sep. 20 (Sun). Notice of settlement (consultation ticket) will be sent from Kenko-zukuri-ka (Public Health Section).

Individual Cancer Screening B

Place: Designated medical institutions

Application: Directly apply/visit to a medical institution.
What you bring: Kenko Hoken-sho (Health insurance certificate) or something to certify your address.
* Something to certify your condition is required for free medical checkup for eligible person.

Application: By a postcard with your name, address, phone number, birthday and which screening you want to Kenko-zukuri-ka (Public Health Section) by September 20 (Sun.) (postmarked by Sep. 20 (Sun). Notice of settlement (consultation ticket) will be sent from Kenko-zukuri-ka (Public Health Section)
