Gift of Rice Harvested in Showa Village

The 10th Anniversary of Sister City Affiliation
Of Soka City and Showa Village

A campaign will be held to give 3 kg of rice grown with loving care by farmers of Showa Village and a booklet to those, chosen by lot, who follow the SNS of Showa Village or who answer the questionnaire.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the sister city affiliation , but in response to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection, the friendship exchange events with Showa Village were canceled one after another.
People in Showa Village prepared rice harvested in Showa Village for those who cannot come to the village.
Enjoy the attractiveness of Showa Village at home.

Requirements for application

Those who live, work or study in Soka City.

1. If you are a user of SNS, follow Showa Village, or
2. if you do not use SNS, answer the questionnaire of the application form if you do not use SNS.

Application

Make an application by June 19 (Fri) to 〒340-8550 Bunka Kanko-ka (Culture and Tourism Section). One application per person. The announcement of prizewinners will be substituted by sending the rice by early July.

1. If you are a user of SNS

Become a follower of Showa Village, and make an application by a postcard, by fax, (External link.) by e-mail  or on the phone, stating your name, address, sex, age, phone number as well as whether you have visited Showa Village or not.

2. If you are NOT a use of SNS

Fill in the application form distributed at Bunka Kanko-ka (Culture and Tourism Section) and community centers (also to be downloaded from the website of Soka City), to submit it by postal mail, by fax or by e-mail.
