Make Use of Special Case of Tax Deferral System
(Nouzei Yuyo Seido no Tokurei in Japanese)

Special Case of Tax Deferral System has established for the individuals and business operators whose incomes were greatly decreased because of the Novel Coronavirus Infectio disease and have difficulties to pay the municipal tax.
Deadline of payment will be postponed up to one year by this system.
No need of mortgage and no penalty tax.

Tax Items

Local taxes (municipal tax, property tax, national health insurance tax, coporate tax etc.) which due date of the payment comes from February 1 (Sat.), 2020 to January 31, 2021.

Eligible People

Those who qualified the both of the following conditions.

1. Those whose income from salary or business of any one month or more after February, 2020 was decreased about 20 % from the same period of the previous year
2. Those who cannot pay tax or has a difficulty to pay tax from the salary by his/her office at one
   time

* Soka City will judge the difficulty accoding to the applicant’s conditions for next six months.

Application Procedure

Take an application form from the website of Soka City (* see below), attachemnts and documents to show your condition such as salary slits, cash amount and saving money amount.

Apply to the Nouzei-ka (Payment Tax Section in Soka City Hall)

Application Deadline

June 30 for the tax payment deadline between February 1 (Sat.), 2020 to June 30, 2020
Each deadline day for the tax payment deadline between July 1, 2020 to January 31, 2021
