Health Care for Mother and Child

If you moved in Soka City recently, contact with Kenko-zukuri-ka (Public Health Section) with your Boshi Techo (Mother and Child Health Book)

Above documents will be sent.

Kon-nichiwa Akachan Houmon ("Hello Baby" Visit)

For whom: The babies who were born in April, 2020. (Excluding the families a midwife of a staff visited)
Date: Late in May ~ middle of June
Contents: A staff will visit the households (without a contact in advance) and hand the questionnaires for the vaccinations and notices for health checkups.

NO visit due to the Coronavirus till June. Above documents will be sent.

Infant Health Checkup

The followings are suspended the applications by the end of May.

Maternity Salon

For whom: Women who are expecting the first baby and their husbands.
Limited to 30 pairs
Contents: Lecture about dental care, tasting recommended foods.  Bone density measurement (if you want. Fee: 100yen)

Infant Help Desk

For whom: Infants and guardians.
Limited to 30 pairs
Contents: Consultation of parenting and nutrition by public nurse and dieticians, reading picture books

Maternity Class for Parents

For whom: Women who are expecting the first baby between July 2020 and September, 2020 and their husbands.
Limited to 30 pairs
Contents: Bathing training, nutrition guidance fo expectant mother and explanation of giving birth process

Health Care for Adults

Either group screening or individual screening of colorectal cancer is available once during the designated period.

Eligible age is as of March 31, 2021.

A list of designated medical institutions is available at the Kenko-zukuri-ka (Public Health Section) and public facilities.
You can see them on the HP of Soka City.

Eligible Persons for free check-up:

1. People of age 70 or older
2. People, age 65 or older and under 74 who are enrolled in Koki-koureisha Iryou Hoken Seido
   (Post Elderly and Disabled Medical Insurance system).
3. Tax-exempt households
4. Households on welfare (Seikatsu hogo in Japanese)
5. People who are applied the subsidy of Japanese War Orphans From China

* Individual stomach cancer screening with an endoscope for 1. 2. 3. is 2,000 yen; for 4. 5. is free of charge.

Place: Designated medical institutions.

Application: By visit or a postcard with your name, address, phone number, birthday and which screening you want and the date you want from the first to third choice to Kenko-zukuri-ka (Public Health Section) by September 18 (Fri.) (postmarked by Sep. 20 (Sun). Notice of settlement (consultation ticket) will be sent from Kenko-zukuri-ka (Public Health Section).

Individual Cancer Screening B

Application: Directly apply/visit to a medical institution.
What you bring: Kenko Hoken-sho (Health insurance certificate) or something to certify your address.
* Something to certify your condition is required for free medical checkup for eligible person.

Acception is suspended by the end of June. NO screeing by the end of June
