This is how to wash cloth masks, which can be used repeatedly by washing. Procedure 3 may be skipped if the mask is not dirty. Cloth masks may shrink by washing, but the quality is not affected.
What to Prepare
Detergent for clothes, chlorine bleach, a clean towel, a large-enough wash basin, a pair of kitchen gloves and clothespins
(1) Put 2 liters of water in the wash basin, dissolve about 0.7 g of detergent for clothes in the water and dip the mask for 10 minutes
(2) Then handwash the mask by gently pushing up and down in the water. Avoid rubbing wash because it may damage the fibers. Change the water in the wash basin, and rinse the mask.
(3) Wear a pair of kitchen gloves, dissolve about 15 ml of chlorine bleach in 1 liter of water, and dip the mask for 10 minutes. Then rinse the mask well (at least twice).
* Be careful about colored or designed masks because the mask may be discolored.
(4) Remove wetness with a towel, pull it into shape and hang it with clothespins to let it dry in the shade.
