What We Can Do to Prevent Infection

In order to prevent the spread of infection, it is essential for each one of us to make efforts to prevent infection and to take actions to protect ourselves
We ask for your continued cooperation to avoid nonessential and nonurgent outings to decrease contacts with other people.

Closure to Be Extended to the end of May

  • Closure of public facilities (including outdoor sports facilities)
  • Cancelation or postponement of events and meetings organized by the city

  • Closure of municipal elementary and junior high schools

Emergency Economic Measures

  • Support fund for the closure of elementary schools
  • Emergency petty cash fund
  • Support fund to secure housing, etc.

Special Fixed-sum Cash Benefit (100,000 yen per person)

The payment is for those who are registered in the basic resident register as of April 27, 2020.
The city is preparing to send out an application form to eligible people around late May.
The details will be announced on the website of Soka City and in other places, as soon as finalized.

Subsidy Program for Sustaining Businesses
(Up to two million yen per corporation and one million yen per individual proprietor)

This payment is for corporations and individual proprietors whose sales has decreased 50% or more, compared to the same month of the previous year, due to the effect of novel coronavirus infection.
The maximum amount to be paid is the decline of sales.

After the supplementary budget of the nation was approved, the special website will be opened to receive online applications.

Grace of tax and other payments

Special schemes are to be initiated, to give one year’s grace for national tax, including income tax and consumption tax, and municipal tax without arrears.
