Health Care for Mother and Child

If you moved in Soka City recently, contact with Hoken Center with your Boshi Techo (Mother and Child Health Book)

Kon-nichiwa Akachan Houmon ("Hello Baby" Visit)

For whom: The babies who were born in December, 2019. (Excluding the families a midwife of a staff visited)
Date: Late in January ~ middle of February
Contents: A staff will visit the households (without a contact in advance) and hand the questionnaires for the vaccinations and notices for health checkups.

Infant Health Checkup

Maternity Class for Parents

* From January 6 (Mon.) accept the application by phone or on the homepage of Soka City

For whom: Women who are expecting the first baby between April and June, 2020 and their husbands.
Limited to 30 pairs
Date and time: 9:15 am to 12:15 pm of February 2 (Sun.) and 5 (Wed.)
Contents: Bathing training, nutrition guidance fo expectant mother and explanation of giving birth process

Infant Help Desk

* From January 6 (Mon.) accept the application by phone

For whom: Infants and guardians.
Limited to 30 pairs
Date and time: 9:30 am to noon of January 22 (Wed.)
Contents: Consultation of parenting and nutrition by public nurse and dieticians, reading picture books

Baby Foods Class

* From January 6 (Mon.) accept the application by phone or on the homepage of Soka City

Contents: Lecture how to proceed baby foods, and trial eating of baby foods.

Date and time: 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm of February 19 (Wed.)
Contents: Lecture about dental care, tasting recommended foods.  Bone density measurement (if you want. Fee: 100yen)

Health Care for Adults

Either group screening or individual screening of colorectal cancer is available once during the designated period.

Eligible age is as of March 31, 2020.

A list of designated medical institutions is available at the Hoken Center and public facilities.You can see them on the HP of Soka City.

Eligible Persons for free check-up

1. People of age 70 or older
2. People, age 65 or older and under 74 who are enrolled in Koki-koureisha Iryou Hoken Seido
   (Post Elderly and Disabled Medical Insurance system).
3. Tax-exempt households
4. Households on welfare (Seikatsu hogo in Japanese)
5. People who are applied the subsidy of Japanese War Orphans From China

* Individual stomach cancer screening with an endoscope for 1. 2. 3. is 2,000 yen; for 4. 5. is free of charge.
