Enjoy New Year but Be Careful
Food loss means the food which is thrown away although still good enough to eat, and it is estimated to amount to about 6.43 million tons a year in Japan.
This is equal to about double the amount of food aid given to people suffering from starvation across the world.
New Year holidays is a season for reunion; many people are gathered and a lot of foods are served.
We ask for your efforts to reduce food loss by not leaving a dish half-eaten.
