Practicing to Be a Player
Who Can Throw a Variety of Pass

Mr. Tomoki Moriwaka (Age 17), who participates in regular practice sessions of wheelchair basketball

I had a good time in the trial session my father took me to and started wheelchair basketball when I was around eight.
Non-handicapped people may think that it is difficult to control a ball while operating a wheelchair and difficult to shoot because the distance to the goal is longer and because we cannot use the spring of knees.
But I feel great when I succeed in shooting.
Non-handicapped people can also enjoy sports for the disabled, including wheelchair basketball.
Events and trial sessions are held in Soka City, so join those to have fun and find attractiveness.

Mr. Tomoki Moriwaka

Mr. Moriwaka has been participating in the regular practice session when it started in 2012.
He enjoys practicing with people of various generations, from elementary school students to members of society.
Wishing to make serious efforts in wheelchair basketball, he now belongs to the Saitama Lions, based in Saitama Prefecture, accommodating a lot of members of the Paralympic national team, and takes part in the practice twice a week while going to a senior high school.
He is making great efforts both in practice and in study so as to be a player who can contribute to the team.
